敬天愛人(Keiten Aijin)

敬天愛人

Keiten aijin : 敬天愛人
.
It means to respect God and love people.
In worshiping God, one is essentially required to have resolution to accept everything that happens around him/her.
Every events which occur before one’s eyes are the hurdles that one must get over in the world that is prepared for the growth of oneself. There should be nothing but gratitude for God who prepared that.
The feeling of complaints, discontents and hates is far off from the word “keiten: to respect God”
I believe the life of 南洲(Takamori Saigo) who lived his life following an example of how God loved all creatures equally and set his lifelong task to “love himself and others without any distinction” is the path many Japanese people today must learn from.

You have a pure and innocent heart. That is who God loves and searches for.
Many people search and pray to God, however few people notice God in human form standing right next to them.
Only those with a pure heart can see the true God.

No flowers which are rich in colors and look so bright to the eyes have ever bloomed from hoping to receive praise from people.
They bloom when they are supposed to bloom, and they die when they are supposed to die. They only devote themselves to their destiny while giving gratitude towards sunshine from the sky and the water from the earth.
I think this teaches us that humans, in the same matter, should also not live with the aim of fame and praise. It is essential to know the value of the life that is given to us by God and to give gratitude and live as best you can.
